With the relative success of Godzilla: King of the Monsters at the box office, Rodan and Mothra contemplate the next step in their careers and making the jump to Marvel…
Even monsters know Marvel is where the money’s at, and it’s time to make that move…
It has now been a month since the theatrical release of Godzilla:King of the Monsters. We’ve heard from our favorite monsters on how they think they were portrayed in the movie, but what has become of them since? Well, I was lucky enough catch up to two of them who have taken the next step in their cinematic careers!
While Godzilla: King of the Monsters is doing… relatively mixed with critical opinions and box office scores, fan favorite Titans Rodan and Mothra think they’ve found where the real money is! Rodan, Mothra, thank you for joining us once again.
“Thank you very much.”“The pleasure is all ours.”
Now, before we get into your big news, how have you been faring in the weeks after Godzilla: King of the Monsters came out overall?
“Well, my wing is out of the cast, and I’m flying as good as new! I’d say I have about 90% feeling back in my shoulder. You really gave me a good one right there, didn’t you Mothie?”
Wait, Mothie?
“You are absolutely spot on Dan-O! I’m freshly hatched from my cocoon, regenerated and everything, and I’m ready to take on the world for yet another cycle!”
So, did you two really give each other pet names? And I thought you fought each other in the movie?
“It’s called a truce. We are on the way to putting our relationship back in control.”“Yeah, it’s… it’s complicated.”
Wait, are you two dating now by cha…
“No, we are NOT dating! Anyway, can we get on to our big announcement?”
Of course, go right ahead!
“Anyway, after how THAT movie portrayed us so wrong, we thought it best to take the next step in our careers. So as a result, the both of us headed out to the one and only Marvel Studios!”“That’s right! MCU for us baby!”
Wow, that’s fantastic! Congratulations on getting parts with them!
“Well, we haven’t secured any official parts yet. We just auditioned for a few things.”“Well, I know I’m SURE to get the part I auditioned for. Let’s hope the best for Mothie on whatever part SHE was up for!”
You mean you two don’t know what the other Titan auditioned for?
“Nope, we wanted to keep it a surprise until later, but then you called us in for this interview.”“So we feel that now is the perfect opportunity for Dan- I mean Rodan and I to share our experiences and the parts we tried out for!”
…Right. How about this: why not we have a civilized debate on what the two of you auditioned for, and see who auditioned for the better role? I’m sure our readers would love to hear about that!
“I would be open to something like that.”“Bring it on!”
How exciting! Join us next time as we continue our discussion with the Titans of Godzilla: King of the Monsters, where we dive deep into their dreams and mammoth motivations.
