Gundam… it’s good for me, it’s good for you.

I like Gundam. I like my bookshelf. That can only lead to one thing — putting some Gundam on my bookshelf. But which Gundam, and in what form? I wouldn’t even dare think about choosing from the hundreds of models available. Shoot, make that thousands, since Bandai has been cranking them out since 1978. That’s when I saw this busts, I knew it was a chance to keep it simple. Simple in the Bandai way, cuz look at that detail.
The Formania Nu Gundam is gorgeous and more detailed than any busts has any right being. Moveable panels. Figures suspended on wires. This isn’t just a bust — it’s a diorama! With that in mind I feel a little more understanding towards the price. $300 is still rough, but as long as the price point is lower than what I paid for my Godzilla vs King Ghidorah statue, the hierarchy of my fandom is maintained.

The Nu Gunam was featured in the Char’s Counter Attack OVA. I didn’t particularly care for Char’s Counter Attack — 360degree cockpit might make sense in the real world, but starfield vs a detailed cockpit? I know cost-cutting animation when I see it. But that doesn’t take away from the gorgeous build of the Nu Gundam. And if I’m interested in the Amaro’s Nu Gundam…

…then how can I not be also drawn in by Char’s Sazabi? The same amount of detail and splendor as the Nu Gundam, but in vibrant red! Should I make room on my bookshelf, because just picture how well they would look together in my office. Then explain yourself and how it is you know what the inside of my office looks like—you peep freak!
